John Denver is a popular singer and songwriter who has touched many people through his music. A lot of them are based on Colorado. Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. was born in Roswell new Mexico, but discovered love for Colorado. The singer-songwriter eventually moved to Aspen. Denver's state anthems have inspired numerous people to go to Colorado. I can't think of another performer that embodies Colorado like John Denver said G. Brown director of the Colorado Music Hall of Fame. In 2011 Denver was named the Hall of Fame's first inductee. Many consider Denver to be the symbol of Colorado. When you encounter people from other nations, for instance New Zealanders, and they ask them "I come originally from Colorado" then they immediately respond by saying Oh John Denver. Brown said. Take Me Home Country Roads was Denver's top 10 hit following a performance with a small folk music bands. It was co-written and produced by Bill Danoff. Danoff composed the song in the name of Johnny Cash but Denver recognized the song's potential after hearing it first.
